Another difference when comparing the cast iron stew pots to jambalaya pots is the cast iron stew pot lid. The cast iron lid is heavier than the original jambalaya pot lids. Jambalaya pots are wider, which calls for wider, aluminum lids. If you make the lids too heavy, they will be harder to lift. Use this cast iron stew pot in place of your dutch ovens. Cook easier over a campfire or propane burner with the included cast iron stew pot stand. The cast iron stew pot also includes jambalaya pot TJ hooks, which ease the lifting and moving of the cast iron stew pot.
