The Precision Products DT42GY 42” dethatcher brings layers of clippings and thatch to your lawn's surface when dragged behind a tractor, creating healthier, greener lawns. The DT42GY is made with 11 tines composed of heat-treated steel for a total of 22 dethatching tips, each penetrating 2 inches. It attaches to a tractor with a steel-reinforced tow bar, and the 12-gauge steel tray holds an additional 150 pounds of weight to help set the tines most efficiently. The multiple-height hitch is compatible with nearly any lawn tractor or mower. The dethatcher includes two diamond tread poly wheels and a simple lever that one can reach from the tractor for engaging or disengaging the tines.
