Great Fly Boots, 8/22/2012

Pam from Orange County

I was very hesitant to purchase these for I was not sure they would stay up and work, but for two weeks now they work great...horse was always pounding his feet before from flys bitting him, but this has stopped now...just wish they sold in pack of 4 instead of 2

Best I have found, 8/20/2012

rowdygirl from Ada, MI

These are the best made fly boots out there. They last 2 or more years, depending on how much they are used. My donkey is allergic to fly bites and these have saved him from total misery. He wears them daily from April through October. They will start to droop a bit, but if you velcro them tightly to start, they are very effective.

Nice, but not Great, 6/16/2012

Erin from Crescent, IA

I had purchased this product to try it out and after seeing that there were plastic "stays" in the boots I thought they would hold up great! What I didn't know is they meant the mesh fabric was supposed to act like "stays" but it does not. The only horse they stayed up on ok was my fine legged Thoroughbred. They did not stay up on my Fox Trotters at all. When I went to check to see how they were holding up, they looked like anklets on those two and I couldn't help laughing! I think they would stay up ok on horses that have skinny legs and do not lift their legs high to stomp flies. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this product to any of my friends.

Great boots, 6/10/2012

Aly from Illinois

These fly boots work very well. The fleece is very plush and helps avoid rubs. The velcro is strong and the mesh is textilene so it's near impossible to rip. Great product.

Awesome leg protection, 10/13/2011

murphysblonde from Saratoga, CA

I bought two pairs. One for a very fine and small in circumference canon boned horse and another pair for a big boned Tennessee Walker. They fit both types of horses and stay up all day. Velcro is extremely strong and the binding is soft on the perimeter.

Kensington fly boots, 9/1/2011

Walkabout Farm from Grafton, WI

These have held up well at our farm. They seem to be comfortable and don't slide around too much. Our horses are out in pasture most of the time. If we forget the boots and the flies get pesty, the horses will whinny for us until we come put them on.

Worth every penny!, 8/12/2011

Shotgun Annie from Midwest

These boots stay on! They may slide a bit but the velcro is strong & survives turn out for days at a time. Saves leg& foot fatigue as horses do not stamp their feet. I have had 2 pairs for 3 yes 3 seasons. They will finish this season & then I will replace them as they are tattered. Without a doubt the best on the market & I would not be without them!

Best Fly Boots I've Found, 7/2/2011

Fancythat from Chicago, IL

I don't know why the other review gave only 2 stars, since they didn't say. I love these fly boots, and so does my horse. I've tried other brands, like Cashel's, and these Kensingtons are better. They fit better, they stay up, my horse doesn't sweat underneath them, and they allow air to circulate while keeping the bugs out. My horse is a thin-skinned TB, about 15-1/2 hands, and the horse size fits him well. He is wearing them 24/7; I expect them to last the summer, and don't mind buying a fresh pair next summer.
