Starbar® Captivator® Fly Trap

Captivator® Fly Trap, the heavy-duty, reusable and economical plastic jar comes complete with 1 tube of attractant. Just squeeze attractant into jar and add water. Captivator® Fly Trap's one-way entry system keeps flies in the trap and its 2 quart capacity means minimal maintenance.

  • Patented formulation uses fly pheromones to attract flies; the one-way entry system keeps them in the trap
  • Insecticide free
  • Easy to use! Just squeeze in and add water.  
  • 2 quart capacity

Directions for Use

  1. NOTE: Attractant has a pungent odor. Wearing plastic or rubber gloves and baiting traps outdoors in a well-ventilated area are strongly recommended. Twist off tube end to open.
  2. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USING! 
  3. Squeeze one tube (15ml) attractant into the trap jar.
  4. Fill trap one-third to one-half with water and set or hang trap outdoors in a sunlit area of high fly density.
  5. Place traps where odors will not be a problem.

    CAUTION:
    • FLAMMABLE: Do not store or use undiluted attractant near heat, flame or electrical equipment.
    • Avoid contact with skin or eyes. In case of contact: EYES: Flush with plenty of water for 15 minutes. SKIN: Wash with soap and water. If irritation persists, seek medical attention.
    • Do not take internally. In case of accidental ingestion, seek immediate medical attention. Induce vomiting only under medical supervision.

Dream Come True!!!, 1/13/2013

I bought this fly trap in the hopes it would serve its purpose, and I had my doubts. But by the second day, my fly trap was filled completely to the rim with dead flies! I have bought six more of these traps to put around the rest of my paddock. They really are amazing!

Does not work! Was out there for 1 day and caught nothing- out there for 2 weeks caught fly, mind you I have two of them! Used another brand prior to this and filled the bag, it smelled bad but we got some flies, this brand- YUCK!!

I've bought these from my local TSC not knowing that Horse.com sells them. They are worth every penny! I've bought the refill liquid 3 times now. After a week they are completely full to the top. Bugs have been terrible in my area this year and these things are catching them all! I have one hanging in a tree and a few sitting on the ground around the pasture. Just be careful, if you have a nosy horse like I do, they will tip them over and you'll lose the liquid.

I must admit, this definitely traps flies, gnats, etc.... Efficiently. In two weeks the two Captivator's that I purchased are already full to capacity and I must refill them with new attractant. Good Product.
