Right after I bought this helmet I took it out of the box and put it on my head, but it was too big so I tightened the strap in the back and when I put it on the strap broke away from the helmet . Very bad quality.

We opened the box and attempted to fit the helmet. The straps have an uncanny ability to dig into the back of your head. The overall appearance of the helmet is huge! There is probably 2+ inches above the crown of the head to the top of the helmet. It looks silly. The fit was impossible. Even if carefully managing the straps, plastic parts in the helmet dig into your head. Additionally, when the helmet is sitting on your head it sits so far down it pushes my ears down. I recently bought another helmet and expected similar look and feel and was very disappointed. The icing on the cake was that the felt inside the helmet was falling off right out of the box. I am disappointed in this helmet in every way. It is being returned post-haste and I won't be buying another Troxel helmet.

I've had this helmet for about 2 years now. I used it in jumping lessons, and I now use it on my own horse at my house when I trail ride western. This helmet is uncomfortable. The plastic was digging into the back of my neck and it hurts a lot. It is kinda big and bulky, and it looks HUGE on my head! Good quality, everything is holding together, but it's just the fit of the helmet I don't like. I'm looking for another helmet.

bought this product three years ago for my daughter. STILL FITS!!! very adgustable only thing I would change is the stiky part where the padding is connected to the helmet... otherwise awesome!

For anyone who is looking into buying a helmet, this is DEFINITELY the one to get! The price is great and the quality, durability, comfort are amazing! I have had my black helmet for 7 years and it has a few minor scuffs, but that's it! Great for training, trail riding, lessons, and in the show ring. I LOVE THIS HELMET!!!! ^_^

THIS HELMENT IS GOOD AND I LIKE IT VERY MUCH BUT I ORDERED A SIZE SMALL BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT I WEAR AND IT WAS WAY TO SMALL. IF YOU DO ORDER THIS HELMENT ORDER A SIZE BIGGER.

i love the style and the color But is looks like an egg on my head but well worth the price i fell of my 16.5 hand mare on a trail ride and the helmet saved me! love the style acept the notch at the top but its a a exclent fit Anouther Great helmet from Troxel!!

great buy, definetely worth the money you pay for it.... the only problem that i have experienced with this helmet is that the velcro that holds the headliners in has begun to come away from the inside of the helmet but since i have had it for over three years so that is expected.... but other than that it is comfortable, fully adjustable, and a great deal for a first helmet! i will probably buy a different helmet next time, but this one has been awesome while ive had it

This is the only helmet I can find that fits my head perfectly the only down side is that the GPS III system has thin plastic straps that get weather worn pretty fast, so I have to replace it after a few months. Ive fallen off in this model a few times and always felt it did a wonderful job of protecting my head!

I have had this helmet for the past two years and it has worked out great for me! It has a really nice slim profile so it doesnt look like you have a gigantic, bulky sack of potatoes on you head! It has a nice light weight componend to it that makes it easy to work with. Its an all around great helmet, what can I say!

I have been test riding horses for the past couple of weeks after losing my AQH mare. My last test ride yesterday proved to be a handful. I was launched at a high velocity and landed on my right side hitting my hip, shoulder and head. My head fared the best of the three. My helmet looks worse for the wear but all I have to show for it on my head are two small goose eggs. The goose eggs came from the plastic molding at the front and back of the helmet. My fault for not having the helmet on tight. I had the chin strap buckled but very loose. This helmet still did the job beautifully though. Highly recommend and am ordering another one now!

This helmet is nice quality, comfortable, and is lightweight and safe. It comes in 3 great colors with a velvet like feel, its an all around great safe good helmet.

This helment is awesome!!! I am a western rider and this helment suits me just fine. Well,I live here in Texas were it is REALLY HOT in the summer and gets really cold in the winter and when I ride in it in the summer I don't sweat that much at all when I wear it! This helment also has a low profile that dosen't make your head look too big but it forms to your head insted. If you but this helment you WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED AT ALL!!!!!

Troxel helmets are the best quality helmets I have ever seen or heard of. They are durable and great protection. Troxel helmets are comfortable and easy to clean and take care of. I give these Legacy Gold Duratec Helmets a definite five star rating.
